FAQ
Where does the festival take place?
The festival is on the Campground Eichholz:
Eichholz-Camping
Strandweg 49
3084 Wabern
www.campingeichholz.ch
Overview of the slacklines: slackmap.com
When is the festival?
The festival starts on Friday (24.8.2018) and ends on sunday evening
How do I get there?
Timetable for the tram
Public transport: From Bern main station its easiest to take tram 9 in direction of Wabern, to the stop ‘Eichholz’ (second to last). From there its 600 metres on foot down to the Aare.
Car: If you sleep on the campgrounds, you can park right next to the festival grounds.
Everyone else: try to park somewhere on the blue parking fields in Wabern.
There is NO POSSIBLITY, to park directly at the campground, if you’re not paying for a tent!
How much does it cost?
There is no entry fee, however, we’re very grateful for small donations to help cover our expenses.
Where can I sleep?
On the Campground Eichholz, according to their regular fees. We recommend reserving a spot online, make sure you have a free space.
How old do I have to be to participate?
Children up to 16 with their parents, after that they may sign themselves.
Does the festival have insurance coverage?
Whoever participates in the activity or is on the premises with the tensioned slacklines, has to obey certain rules. Participation is under your own risk. Every slackliner has to sign the waiver on location. Insurance is the participants own responsibility.
The slacklines are rigged safely and to our best knowledge. The most important rules for an accident-free festival are:
- All setups may only be manipulated by the organiser (e.g. tensioning and detensioning of slacklines).
- When a slackline is in use, keep your distance. (Slacklines should never be crossed)
- Children under the age of 16 need written permission from their parents. The parents are responible to ensure that their children recognise the dangers and are supervised (responsibility is with the parents).
- Slackliners only mount lines, that are adequate for their skill level. People who can’t manage a short and low line, have no business going on a high longline.
Mobility
There’s a bike rental service in Bern called Publibike. Perfect for a trip to the city.
